Book Fairs Contest Winner!
I’ve just been given my flight arrangements for the Scholastic Canada Book Fairs contest winner. This year it looks like I’m off to visit Tantallon Junior High School in Tantallon, Nova Scotia on Friday June 15, 2006. The contest is a national one that rewards the students who work the hardest over the year to put on the best Book Fairs. I speak to the students in assembly and then spend a little time at lunch with the student Crew that did the hard work. This is my second Book Fair visit. The first (which is where these photos were taken) was the US winner last August: The Graves County Middle School in Paducah, Kentucky, and we had a blast.
The kids liked it, they got out of class for a couple of hours, and I got to eat delicious homemade southern cooking that parents brought in which included chicken and two kinds of cake. And that’s pretty much all it takes for me.
Wow, you know things are going well when they make a walk around mascot costume for promotion. Are they going to do any other the other characters. How about a life size inflatable costume of the great red dragon, that would be sweet.

Wow the book fair sounds like it was a great success! The costume looks pretty cool from the back side lol. . . after the other pics finally loaded the rest of it looks even better!(rural Iowa only gets dial up, ugh it’s sooo slow!) Fone Bone looks so soft and huggable too.:)

Could someone PLEASE, please, PLEASE, please, PLEASE tell me when the fourth colored BONE volume is coming out?
I’ve read 1-3 and DEAR GOD, this series is PURE GOLD. PURE AND UTTER GOLD. I WISH they’d just release all nine volumes right now because this story is too darn’ addicting!
PS – I know it’s coming out in June 2006 but WHEN in June?

We just received copies of the color Bone 4: The Dragonslayer last week. That means they will be coming out very soon! I will check on the actual ship date and post it on the blog as soon as I know.

I really enjoyed you coming to our scool and I have read the book thast we got like 4 times and my sister loves those books now because i showed her mine and now she reads ur books all the time i can not get them away from her. i don ;t know why she loves them so much. i don’t like to read but if i am going to read than i will read something like that because if i read which is n ot very often i like to read things in a comic form instead of read things tha only have words and no pictures. in another words i love you books.
