Thanks to your post I've just bought "Goodbye Chunky Rice" and I hope it's as good as you said! Why don't you suggest more comics to read?

"Carnet de Voyage" is great, almost as good as "Blankets"... A must read for any Thompson fans, or anyone who likes to read ridiculously candid and personal anecdotes... I mean, it's a travel sketch book but so much more, revealing intimate personal details that few artists would consider sharing with their audience. It's not the "next novel", but it is a sequel to "Blankets" and continues the high marks for excellence that "Blankets" established. I like it better than "Chunky Rice", which is saying something...

Old Man's Cave is gorgeous! It reminds me a lot of my family's farm and many the state parks here in Iowa. Our farm is in a valley and the hills surrounding the house have a lot of bluffs and large rock formations. There's also a state park nearby called Maquoketa Caves that has large caves like Old Man's Cave; it’s very neat one of the caves is well under ground. If you’re ever by this way stop by and see some of Iowa’s state parks I think you’d really enjoy them.:)
My favorite photo of yours is the one of the trees growing over the rock, its unreal looking! Someday I’ll have to make a trip to Ohio to see Old Man’s Cave in person.

The purpose of the trip was probably to get some ideas of how to colour Old man's cave in book 6, right?

PS: Preston is cute
