Oh, wow! Hey, it's all good--the comic con was crazy busy and stuff. I was hoping to get some questions from Joe's kids over to you--we'll figure that out one of these days.

Another one of these days you'll have to meet my friend Daniel--my guts tell me you two would hit it off like two stupid rat creatures.

Hi Jeff!

I wanted to drop you a quick line to tell you how much I enjoyed the latest issue of Shazam, in particular, your treatment of Mary Marvel. As a diehard Golden Age fan of Mary, your presentation of her as a little girl, happy to have a new outfit and the super powers that go with it, made me feel as if it were her first appearance in decades! Thank you so very much for one of the best comic moments of my life! Truly!

As the owner of a twenty-year old + comic book store in Iowa City, Iowa, it is so wonderful to be able to present a super hero book to both older AND younger readers. Believe me when I say that we have done all that we can to push and support the book and we all are looking forward to the later installments. If you ever find yourself in the area, we would absolutely love to have you come and do a signing!

I wish you the best of luck and once again, thank you for the wonderful work!

TinTin! Great news! Maybe there's hope for a real Bone movie someday! (in 25 years) F! I just checked back and found your message from before the New York Comic Con. Too bad I didn't see it earlier. I would have liked to have had a beer with you. I'll send you an e-mail and maybe next time I'm in town we'll get a chance

Jeff,

This is my first real exposure to reading Shazam/Capt. Marvel, and I am really thrilled. The story is very enthralling so far and whenever I re-read the first issue, I can't help but hanker for a hot dog.
I was never a big DC fan, but when I saw your name attached to this book I couldn't pass it up. Your writing and art meld so well together, no matter what you do, it would seem. Keep it up!! I look forward to issues 3 and 4!!
(I tired to keep the gushing to a minimum, as I did most of that at Comicon!)

Tintin Finally Does Tinseltown
Thursday March 8 4:12 PM ET

It was a quarter-century in the making but then again, nothing is easy for cartoon heroes such as Tintin.

Steven Spielberg's DreamWorks, a division of Viacom Inc., has committed to produce at least one movie about the adventures of the intrepid Belgian reporter, said Nick Rodwell, head of Moulinsart NV, Tintin's commercial studio, on Thursday.

hello mr Smith :)

One of you European Hero will be soon in a Movie

"After 25 years, they finally said, `OK, let's go,'" Rodwell said of the protracted talks with Spielberg. In an interview with The Associated Press, Rodwell said the Hollywood company will go into preproduction for a movie, which should appear in theaters in about two years.

These just get better and better with each issue. I was leary of the new Sivana for a panel, but that went away the moment he took to the podium. And Mr. Mind! Whoa!

This is an all-ages book in the same sense as your other works and other great works of fiction; all-ages simply means that it is a story artfully told. I have a feeling that another whole level of goodness is going to emerge from the comic once the whole story emerges. There's a wonderful sense of the mythic in the story so far and I imagine it adds up to something pretty interesting when the tale is taken as a whole.

"You're my hero Mr. Marvel! I love you!" is the quote of the month for me. Mary sounds like my niece when she was that age. You write children wonderfully well, without being condescending OR requiring the kids to act like mini-adults.

It's too bad this is a mini-series!
