Mr. Smith I can count the number of good series that went on for a long time with the original author on one hand. The few that come to mind are The Savage Dragon, Untold Tales of Spiderman, Cerebus, and Bone. I am really glad I read the Dragonslayer and got started on another good series.
Being that I would like to be a writer myself. What are some tips to keeping things lively in otherwise dark situations? I think you did it very well towards the end where it gets pretty heavy, people are dying, Bone and Thorn get beaten up . I think Lucius sacrificing himself had a better impact from the way you treated it. From reading comics over the years I am very sick of characters dying. It has been done so often that it has lost the impact it once had (Infinite Crisis).

I also enjoyed Stupid Stupid Rat Tails and Rose. I enjoyed seeing Stan Sakai's take on the rat creatures. The art on Rose makes me want to buy a Charles Vess' artbook.

Thank you very much for your time

Seriously, it's tied for my favorite book that's publishing now. Please Jeff I hope you'll take it as a compliment when I tell you the other two in the three way tie are Astonishing X-Men and Buffy Season 8. I agree with Nick, feel free to do more Shazam! I give you permission. LOL. Know what'd be great? Turn some of this art into coloring books for kids and us kids at heart.

Congrats on the success of the comic, Jeff!
Honestly, this should be more than a mini-series...
