Pogo’s Progress
Fantagraphics has posted this 3-D mock-up of my design for the first volume of Pogo: The Complete Daily & Sunday Comic Strips. Walt Kelly’s daughter Carolyn, who is working closely with us on this series, gave us a list of unused titles she found in her father’s papers. This volume’s title: Through the Wild Blue Wonder.
Brand new Walt Kelly titles – - how cool is that?!

Steve,
Yes I do read these comments most of the time. Bone 6 Old Man’s Cave will probably come out in July, but I will ask Scholastic for a more real date and let you know what they say.

I’m really looking forward to this.

Okay, I just got the official word from Scholastic about Bone 6: It will ship to stores June 29, but unlike comic shops where books go out on the shelf the day they arrive, bookstores have a couple of weeks to put the books out on the shelves. So check your local shop the first week of July!

I like to know when we see the first vol of Pogo by Walt Kelly?
Comment by Thomas Dickensheets — August 12, 2008 @ 8:17 pm
I’m sorry to say that I don’t know. I am no longer working on the book. The publisher,Fantagraphics, has been working with the Kelly family for a very long time, years even, trying to sort out the technical aspects of the collections, and unfortunately, I was forced to drop out of the project a while ago due to scheduling conflicts.
