Coloring the Steve Hamaker way

A bunch of Steve's buddies have talked him into making a How To video about coloring. You have to see the animated opening put together by Flight artist Bannister. The first video Steve made about coloring on the Cintiq (for a Shazam Monster Egg) has been viewed over 28,000 times! The YouTube video is here, but you should check out Steve's blog where he has posted a few of his on-line strips called Still Dead about zombies in the work place (this is a snippet of one of them).

  2. The opening is totally cool… and the in-depth-ness of the new video series is great. Also, Steve generally has sweet stuff on his blog. He occasionally previews Bone colouring in progress that isn’t seen over here at Boneville. And it’s pretty cool to see original webcomicy goodness in the form of zombies. There has definitely not been enough zombie fun of recent. So I totally encourage eveyone to add Steve’s blog as a regular place to visit!

  4. Hey jeff,
I have a question for you. I am a writer and I work with a friend on projects and we are in a debate on the projects we are working on. The issue is that he really wants the project to go mainstream at pretty much any cost, and I would like to control the project and work at getting it out and create a solid following even if it was small. What would you give for advice about pretty much selling out or obtaining control. thanks

  5. I’ve actually had that problem too, but if its getting it out and selling it. You’d first wanna make sure you make copies. Then once you’ve put the books together get some fliers or something advertising your idea, when you’ve got a monthly series and start selling the books, you should attract however many people.
