The cover art of "The Arrival" is fantastic. Well have to look into that one. I've been on the hunt for new books to read by independent artists. Also I'm glad I never got around to picking up "Shazam TMSOE", I would have wanted the hardcover anyway lol. Of course, I'm giddy with anticipation for the Shazam! hardcover, but how much do I love Shaun Tan's The Arrival? Very much. It's a beautiful book, and I definitely recommend it. It's quite captivating - the illustrations are gorgeous and imaginative and create a visually unique world, and the storytelling is handled expertly using only pictures and no words. I actually haven't finished reading it yet, because I'm reading it as if I would read something with words and trying to take in everything, savouring it as long as I can make it last.
