Jeff I'll be happy to come and play; but it will have to be later. I've got WonderCon this weekend so whatever contribution I can make will come in ten days or so.

This looks like fun.

Still some of the best stories, as always, stay private.

Hey, thanks for posting all this stuff, Jeff. Those times were really good times to be behind the counter. There was material we loved and therefore loved to plug. Bone in particular did really well for us. Then again, ours was a store where "Sandman" was the top selling title by far. The 'small' guys and gals' passion was never so obvious than in those early days before the crash when it seemed like the future was brighter than bright. I think it still is, it's just shifted a little. I work in a mainstream bookstore now and it's interesting to see the mix of comics changing as someone in the home office must be paying more attention. There's a lot of Los Bros, Eisner, Jeffrey Brown, Seth and lots of others in even a suburban Barnes and Noble. From behind the counter (and now behind the drawing table as well) I can only keep hoping.
