Diana was the first editor I really talked to in the US, and i think it's wonderful how much she encourages the creator side of each artist.

I remember that the Cerebus Guide to Self Publishing was my first contact to how the retailer side of comics worked in the US, specially if you were doing it all yourself as a creator.

I think I really started self publishing in Brasil around that time, and that guide was really helpful (as was the influence of discovering Bone in 1996)

I love that photo of Larry & Auntie Di!

But more importantly, I'll always cherish being introduced to Mr. Eisner at that SPX. Many thanks for one of highlights of this fanboy's life.

First, I apologize for not commenting about the blog above.
Second, I would like to say that I am excited about your upcoming exhibition at the Wexner Center in Columbus. I am a fan of Bone, and since I live just down the road in Athens, OH, I will be sure to see it.
Third--and this one may be a long shot, but--I was wondering if you would be interested in being a Visiting Artist at Ohio University. I teach printmaking within their School of Art. My students and I are planning a large Printmaking Extravaganza May 1 & 2. We wanted to invite a visitor in to help work with and inspire our students during those two days. You and your aesthetic would be a perfect fit. And it would be great timing with your upcoming exhibition at the Wexner. Let me know if you would like to learn more about this...
Thanks for the time and all the entertainment!
