[...] This is a bit of an odd couple, but Wizard magazine named Bone #1 as the seventh best and third most valuable comic in Wizard history. (Yeah, check your back issues, because they claim issue 1 is going for $250.) [...]

Two hundred fifty?!
I guess I should’ve bagged my copy back in the day.
Oh well.
I had too much fun reading…

I actually went out and picked this up (due to the mention here). First, I think any recognition Jeff/Bone/CB gets is well-deserved. I also think the level of discourse in Wizard is a little sad…lauding the (collectable) value of (a comics) mere pages away from (to me, related) coverage of the speculator-driven boom and bust is, you know, more of the same irresponsibility that got the comics industry where it is (today) in the first place.
I *did* like the “best comic of the Wizard era” mention. Not for nothing, but I liked Bone way better than the other six placed “ahead” of it…oh well. It’s either this, or I have to start my own magazine (not happening).
Sorry for the long post. Thanks for reading all of it (if you’re still here).
