iINDIA booktour via iPhone from Jeff and V part 2

Filed under: Bone, Comics!, Events, News, RASL, World Tour — Tom @ 3:12 pm

Hi everybody, I received some new pics from Jeff and Vijaya. Wish we were there with them, we woke up to our first snow fall this morning. I think they might want to stay longer when they find that out…

On siesta. Getting ready for a booktour full of unknowns. That’s Jeff on the beach of Ihuru, North Male Atoll, on Maldive Island.

Watched a beautiful sunrise here in The Maldive Islands. Vijaya & I spent a  few days rest here to burn off our jet lag before the booktour.

I haven’t completely escaped work though; this is a picture (taken with my iPhone) of my reading material for the trip. A couple hard-boiled noir novels (1 Hammett, 1 Chandler) and a couple x-file type science books. Doing my homework.

And yes! On the right of the table is a copy of the new oversized RASL collection. It’s a sample copy sent straight to our room here (in the middle of The Indian Ocean!) It’s beautifully printed. I will be premiering RASL volume 1: The Drift at Flying Colors Comics in person on Dec. 6.

  1. Okay, now it’s getting creepy: I dig the books you put out, you’re reading the same noir stuff that I like, and plus you’re going to the Maldives which is my all-time dream vacation spot. I really wanna go to one of those resorts where your room is at the end of a dock on stilts over the water!

Anyway, I’m glad to hear that the oversized Rasl hasn’t totally disappeared, as I was one of the ones upset that’s not how each issue was put out.

Enjoy the relaxation and upcoming book tour. Peace.

  4. Holy shnikes, that is huge!
I’ve read that it has 112 pages, is that like extra material and forewards/cover gallery or title pages and note from the author or something

  7. Is this the same Jeff that doesn’t read novels anymore? I’d expect V to have a stack of reading material like that on a trip, but Jeff…? ;-) Glad to see the Philadelphia experiment among them.

I hope you both get plenty of R & R during your time away. You need it after this crazy summer!

Talk to you when you get back-

    Jen

  8. Hi, I’ll definitely be buying that RASL book – it looks great! I’ve been wondering since I bought the one-volume edition of Bone if there would ever be an oversized version of that produced? That’s something I’d love to see.

  10. Hi Jeff,
your holiday reading is very interesting. When reading RASL # 3 I was recognizing the connection to the Philadelphia Experiment immediately. Very funny you’re implementing this story…;)
    Greatings from Germany,
    Tom
