Jeff,

I just wrote you a thank you note. Obviously you won't be getting it anytime soon, India, wow! Unless you read this blog? I got online to find your address--not really thinking I'd find one. I thought I might drop the thank you note off at the Laughing Ogre in Clintonville, OH I've heard you go there sometimes. probably a rumor.

Anyway. Thank you for writing Bone. Every year I try to engage my students in reading. It's not easy to hook them, but you did. They're 6th and 7th graders who read on 3rd-4th-5th grade levels. Reading is difficult for them, but when they continue to not read, they don't get better at reading.

I want to take pictures when they're reading your books--because they're reading independently and enjoying themselves.

thanks,
Diana Durbin-Koehler
