Happy Birthday Jeff!!!

Hi everybody! Tom again. Jeff’s gonna kill me for doing this, but today is the day our fearless leader was born. Please join me in wishing him a very, very Happy B’day!

Here’s an oldie but goodie. Jeff did this back in 1996 for those of you that havent seen it. And just as an fyi, he’s not 54 as the candles would indicate.

    We have met at MidOhio Con several times, although you may not remember me. I am chairing a Gallery and History exhibit on Comics at the Works Museum in Newark, Ohio [link] The purpose of the exhibit is to promote comics as legitimate art. This will be combined with a historical exibition on the contribution of cartoonists in Ohio. I have also booked the extension gallery for my cartoon students. I would like to have works by major artists, even just one piece, to add to the draw and promote the show. I would like to invite you to be in the show. If you can’t attend you can send a piece to be in the show. You can contact the museum at the above link. They have full security, cameras and insurance. The show takes place from March 26 to May 10 with an opening reception and media release on March 26. It can be an original or a print and for sale or NFS and we can also sell books for you at the exhibition. Please consider and let me know if you are interested.

  48. My 9 year old kid is crazy about Jeff Smith and his Bone comics. He is desperately collecting each and every book! He is also desperately seeking to get in touch with Mr. Smith so he can help him out with his creations. My kid has been creating his own versions of comics for over a year now and want to write to Mr. Smith. I need to know where to send the letter. Someone help out this desperate mom!!
