Shazam looks really, really awesome. What’s it about? Since I’m in Australia, everything gets here late. You are a genius Jeff, seriously

Hey Jeff, according to some comic selling sites I’ve been checking out, RASL #4 (they say) is shipping March 25th. (4 days from now).
How accurate is this?
Comment by Marcus — March 21, 2009 @ 3:12 pm
Congrats! That’s no small feat for a book that was first released (in HC) two years ago!
Comment by Jen O — March 24, 2009 @ 12:41 pm
Jeff,
Go Jeff, you rule! By the way, you should think about making a Bone TV show, that would be AWESOME…only if it’s in 2-D, I HATE 3-D.
If you make a Bone video-game, I really think you should make it 2-D, oh and release it in Australia. 2-D looks MUCH better than 2-D. You are actually USING talent with 2-D. You should make the Bone video-game like Curse of Monkey Island 3 and realease it on all platforms, especially Xbox 360, since I own one.

Oops I made a mistake on that last comment, it should have been: 2-D looks much better than 3-D.

Woops, made another mistake, it should have been release, not realease.

*sigh*
Comment by tony — March 28, 2009 @ 11:12 pm
I know that feeling, man.
RASL #3 had the same thing.
Comment by Marcus — March 29, 2009 @ 12:32 am
Btw, Jeff.
I heard you really liked the drawing I sent (with the 4 characters all colored in).
Thanks very much =)

Jeff – join Twitter please. That is all.
Comment by Gus — March 29, 2009 @ 4:22 pm
Hey guys,
Sorry I’ve been away from the blog. Been locked up putting the finishing touches on RASL #4.
As you saw, the ship date is now April 15.
Thanks for your patience. I’m working on a couple of pretty cool scenes that took longer to pull together than I thought (you’ll see why when the book comes out), but hopefully it will be worth it.
Also, I added a short letters page to the inside back cover.
Comment by Jeff — March 29, 2009 @ 9:24 pm
Marcus, I loved the RASL drawing you did. We’ll try to find a place to put it on the blog!
Gus, Twitter? I’m not even on facebook yet – - the page that’s up there was done without my knowledge – - someone just told me about it.
Comment by Jeff — March 29, 2009 @ 9:26 pm
Awesome, thank you!
Someone made a fake page?
People do that on myspace with bands/etc alot.
Oh, the goofy things people do.
Comment by Marcus — March 29, 2009 @ 10:09 pm
A letters page?
Oh wow!
I’ve only seen those in like, older comics from the 90s like Vampirella and Captain Carrot I think.
That’s cool btw with pulling together the scenes, pacing is always everything. The one thing though that just boggles my mind is how he ended up in the desert.
Since RASL #5 is like the dead center of the series, I bet things are going to pick up.
Wikipedia’s info thing on the series really has got me wondering.
And (lastly), like RASL #3, I got 2 questions.
1: Will we be visiting that desert possibly again within #4-6
And
2: Will that scene (that seems to recur) where he throws the pebbles in the water, be explaind at some point.
Thank you very much for the updates and time, man. Take care.

Jeff,

I am 12 and I have read every single issue of Bone. It is the best comic in the whole world. I also have Volume #2: The Great Cow Race, I wanna get the rest but I can’t find them anywhere! They look SO awesome in colour. By the way, I am actually a very good drawer (I’m not bragging), and I look at the Bone comics and try to copy the pictures in them. Of course they aren’t as good. I also like Ren and Stimpy and Preston Blair.

Bianca,
Ren & Stimpy, and Preston Blair are also some of my favorites. I’m glad there are 12 year olds out there who even know who Preston Blair is! Did you find one of his How to Draw Cartoon books?
RASL, which you asked about earlier is different than BONE. RASL is a more grown up book about thieves and gangsters. Read that when you’re older.
I’m happy to know you like BONE, and wish you the best of luck with your drawing! I used to copy my favorite characters too, like Snoopy and Uncle Scrooge.

Autumn, that isn’t the headmaster from Bone.
That’s the Wizard Shazam from the Captain Marvel book, “Shazam! The Monster Society of Evil.”
Good resemblance though, haha!
