2009 Eisner nomination for BONE colorist extraordinaire, Steve Hamaker!!!

Steve has received an Eisner nomination for "Best Coloring" for his work on Ghost Circles and Treasure Hunters.

This is Steve’s 3rd nomination for best colorist! We’re really hoping this year is the year he brings one home! We don’t want him becoming the "Susan Lucci" of the colorists in comics. Congratulations Steve! For a complete list of all the nominations, click here.

  8. it is not to be inferior to the colourist (that it is very good as demonstrates its nomination) but Bone in black and white enchants to me. Congratulations and luck.Saúdos e apertas

  9. Heck yes. Steve, you SO deserve to win this award. Watching your colouring get better and better with each volume of Bone has been awesome, and now, in the year of your penultimate achievement completing colouring the Bone saga, you definitely deserve to be honoured with this award. I could say so much about why your colouring is so amazing, and there’s few other colourists about who I could say the same. In other categories, Jo Chen completely deserves the cover artist award, and I’m rooting for Hellboy in the graphic album – reprint category. Unfortunately, I wish I could root for the Sam & Max HC, but it’s too dang small, while the oversized Hellboy library editions are amazing and contain almost enough extras for the most hardcore Hellboy fan.

  14. Hey Jeff,
Only a Bone newbie. Got the one-volume edition about a month ago and loved it. Arrived home today to 14 parcels waiting in the hall – 9 volumes of the colour edition, Rose, Stupid stupid rat tales, Art of Bone and Jeff Smith: Bone and Beyond. I think my evenings after work for the next week or two are sorted! Really enjoyed Hamaker’s colour work on Shazam so I’m sure I’m in for a treat.
