Bryan Talbot and the Grandville trailer!

Hey everyone, just got back from The Center for Cartoon Studies in Vermont. I had a blast and I took a bunch of pictures, so I’ll put a blog up soon. Meanwhile, my friend Bryan Talbot asked me to post this trailer for his new comic Grandville . I know it’s been seen on a lot of sites by now, but if you haven’t watched this, you’re in for a treat.
Brian’s site is here and his mySpace site here.
Bagers? …we don’t need no steenking badgers!

Wow! I love this!
Isn’t this the guy who did Mouse Guard 1152?

Sweet, this looks pretty cool! It’s always awesome to see recommendations and such, I don’t get around on a lot of comic news sites etc except for the blogs of the creators that I follow.
And nope Marcus, Mouse Guard is David Petersen (http://davidpetersen.blogspot.com).

Yes, Bryan let me in on his secret identity back in 2006, when I met him for lunch in London during my world tour. Metronome looked great, and the gag was a good one – -
so of course I agreed to write the introduction. Even pretended to have met the fictional female author in France!

Looks impressive! But it reminds me of Blacksad. Don’t you think Jeff?

Yes,it does! It’s in that same anthropomorphic tradition. Although Blacksad was noir, and this looks more like a Sherlock Holmes type story.
