Another Rose story would be great! (Maybe even as like: Tales From Atheia?

Honestly when I saw Rose the first time, I seriously thought it was Jeff Smith's linework and Charles Vess's painting. His art is stunning.

I agree with the whole thing of "Not for the company, but for the story/art/joy".

Oddly enough I haven't been to the east coast of Canada but I hope to one day.

I read Nextwave, which Immonen did, which was fantastic. It was written by Warren Ellis, and it's HILARIOUS. I highly recommend it.

As for Marvel I have read and loved Astonishing X-Men, the first 24 issues + giant-size (which is 2 hardcovers and will be re-packaged as an upcoming omnibus) while it was Whedon and Cassaday, and Runaways, the first three hardcovers while it was Vaughan and Alphona. I recommend both of these series to anyone. Besides the wonderful stories and art, a bit of a side note, Marvel's hardcovers are way better made than DC's, I've always seen crappy binding with DC's and returned some of their books for that reason, except for Jeff's Shazam!, and except for their Absolute editions, which are absolutely awesome. As a "rule" though, I don't read a lot of Marvel or DC, but really it's not so much whether it's Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, small publisher, independent or what-have-you, it's whether the story and art is good or not. So I'll read most anything that's GOOD, and I rely on others to recommend books to me!

Alright enough from me I don't mean to take over Jeff's blog! Um, hey everyone, let's talk about Bone!

I love Jeanette's idea for another Rose story in the Old Kingdom. Except that I'd like Jeff to draw it, as much as I love Vess' art :)
