Some new (and old) additions to the Boneville store!

Hey gang! It’s Tom again and we have some new merchandise, and some recently found older stuff available in the store!
Above is the RASL signed and numbered print that we sold in San Diego. It was limited to 150 prints and we have about 50 left. $10 each!

Little Mouse Gets Ready
There is a lot to do before Little Mouse is ready to go visit the barn. Will he master all the intricacies of getting dressed, from snaps and buttons to Velcro and tail holes? Be sure to find out in Jeffs latest hardcover book, Little Mouse Gets Ready. It is published by Toon Books and is for younger readers ages 4 and up (although we had a lot of adults enjoying it during Comic-Con!).

The Cartoonist: Jeff Smith, BONE and the Changing Face of Comics
This DVD is a beautifully done feature-length documentary about Jeff (which is getting a lot of good reactions around the web; like here, and here!). It also features interviews with other cartoonists in the industry today such as Terry Moore, Paul Pope, Scott McCloud and others.

Phoney’s Big Bone Hunt
We found full cases of the "BIG BONE HUNT." This was our entry into the hidden figure craze a few years ago. These counter top display cases were only available in comic book stores. If you aren’t familiar with what this was, allow me to explain. There are six figures: Fone, Smiley, Phoney, Lucius, Rat Creature, and a Stick Eater. Each case contains 24 figures in individually packed boxes, but only one. You dont know what is inside until you open it. In each case you get one stick eater and there are paint variants on the rat creatures, Smiley Bone’s vest and Lucius’ shirt. You also have a chance to find a gold Phoney Bone figure that is super rare. Only 100 of them exist!

New RASL T-shirt
You can get the awesome cover art for RASL #6 on a super comfortable American Apparel t-shirt.
Not to mention the new Bone T-shirts we debuted in San Diego that were a huge hit, so be sure to check out the Boneville Store by clicking here!

Awesome
You really stocked up the store so I just had to buy some stuff! The only thing I didn’t buy that I kind of wanted to was that awesome red RASL t-shirt. It looks amazing!
I just had to buy one of the cases of Phoney’s Big Bone Hunt! I hope it’s OK if I mention this here: if there’s anyone out there who would like to buy some of these figures but you don’t want to / can’t afford to buy a whole case, if you get in touch with me we can probably work something out once I receive my order. Also, if anyone else out there IS buying a full case and wants to maybe trade some depending on what we both get (such as the paint variants), please also get in touch with me.

I love that you guys are releasing the Phoney’s Big Hunt figures online, I can’t find them anywhere (Although I do have the Phoney Bone and Smiley Bone figures.). That’s the first time I’ve seen that SDCC RASL print… It’s absolutely gorgeous. Another thing I missed by not going to SDCC. I love that RASL shirt, the colours are perfect on it. Hey Jeff, the signing in Toronto was awesome! As soon as I talked to you I was so nervous I only asked you half of the questions I had written down. I was even quoted and interviewed by Scholastic for a future Bone book…Anyways Jeff, thanks again for the signed stuff!

The shirt colors really do go together.
Hah, I love it’s like they’re falling out a building and Rob’s about to punch Sal’s already ugly mug.

After not hitting a comic shop in months I finally picked up RASL #4 and 5 last week. Now I am on a RASL high!
Just ordered the hardcover limited edition book and the new SDCC print! I can’t wait until they get here.
Another great book, Jeff! Keep it up!

I really would like to order the DVD and a BONE T-Shirt, but the shipping to Germany costs more than DVD and T-Shirt together.
At least I could order “Little Mouse gets ready” at amazon.de, maybe I have the chance to get the DVD at the same way in the future. Some Bone Shirts I’ve found in some German comic shops.

Reilly, the figures we sell in the store are all we have left from our stock. I only have two Thorns left, so if you’d like one, better order quick!

Thank you so much for bringing back the Phoney Bone Big Hunt figures! I was never able to get these the first time around as the local comic shop didn’t carry them.
The Little Mouse book looks adorable. I will certainly want to get this for myself. I have aspirations to becoming a children book writer/illustrator. But I will of course share this with my young niece. Even at 4 months old she loves books! So much like my sister. And I can’t wait till she will be old enough to read little mouse and Bone for herself!

Totally, totally (well, mostly) random comment, hopefully no one minds.
Really, really (I like doubling words today!) looking forward to Amulet Book Two by Kazu Kibuishi.
I read an article (with general spoilers) of the book at the following link, and commented on the (p)review…

…but mostly couldn’t help saying more than a few words about Bone, which is why it may be of interest to some people ’round these parts! I kind of really like the point that I made about Bone.

The Cartoonist is one of the best documentries I’ve seen. Jeff’s story is really intresting and inspiring! And I read Little Mouse with my 4 year old Neice and we both loved it!
Wish I had the money for a case of Phoney’s Big Bone Hunt. I would order that in a heartbeat!!

I have a “Bone and Beyond” exhibit poster (as shown in Boneville store) I will send free to anyone who wants it, I will only charge the cost of shipping. This huge 36″ x 24″ poster is gorgeous – only problem is, it has 4 large creases in the top area, which is why I’m offering it for free. Maybe you have a classroom or somewhere you want to put up this poster and so you don’t mind the creases. I can send you a photo if you want to see. AWESOME poster, folks. If you want a nice minty fresh one, you should definitely head over to the store while supplies of this limited item last.
I have 2 complete sets of Bone Series 1 trading cards. This series consists of 90 cards (no special cards). I can’t remember when or from where, but I had bought a box at some point. They are mint from the package and hand sorted into these sets. I’ll send to anyone who has reasonable offer, plus of course cost of shipping. I’ll just be glad for them to end up with a fellow fan, I’m not looking to make money, or I would be going to eBay.
Lastly I now have my Phoney’s Big Bone Hunt treasure chest! As previously mentioned, I’ll sell individual figures to anyone who wanted to get the figures, but didn’t want to buy a whole box. I’m about to sort them, and I’m sure I’ll be missing some variations, so I’m also looking to trade.
If interested, please contact me privately: klassen at hotmail dot com.
(Hope you guys don’t mind me mentioning items for giveaway / sale here – I won’t mention it again. It seemed the best way to reach fellow Bone fans. Didn’t Boneville use to have a forum?)
Final note – anyone considering buying the t-shirts… just to mention that they have a Graphitti (the manufacturer) logo on the sleeve and copyright text on the front, underneath the design. I wasn’t aware of this, and it seems a bit weird to me (especially the logo), but then again, I don’t buy a lot of licensed image clothing, so this may be standard. Perhaps the photos in the Boneville store should indicate these details? Definitely AWESOME shirts though. Every bit as awesome as pictured.

Just wanted say how much I like The Cartoonist.
Comment by Will Kirwan — August 28, 2009 @ 2:30 am
Finally had the chance to watch The Cartoonist as well. What a GREAT documentary! It’s entertaining from start to finish and VERY well produced. I really enjoyed the interviews, especially the comments from Lucy Caswell and Paul Pope. Random note, I loved the visual of the issue #40 cover with the moving stars!

I remember the hunt figures… only 2 places i could get too sold them and the incredibly bad thing was that each box had been opened and the bastards sold them as ‘NEW’ that was a let down lol… gosh sooo many years ago.
