As Jeff told us last July, new BONE books are on the way. Scholastic has shared their early 2010 publishing schedule and Comic Book Resources has the breakdown here.

Awesome!
Can I order Scholastic books through Previews or will I have to order from Amazon?
Comment by Ben — February 1, 2010 @ 1:58 pm
Oh cool! Can’t wait for the Bone Handbook! And of course the other ones as well, but we didn’t know about the Bone Handbook until now! And it’s already out! Is there no hardcover version of this one?
Comment by Brandon Klassen — February 2, 2010 @ 1:00 pm
Ben, You should be able to order the Scholastic books from both Previews and Amazon. Brandon-according to my source at Scholastic, there will only be this version of the handbook.

Wow! can’t wait some good stuff to come. Might get the Tall Tales book in hardcover since I have the b&w Stupid Stupid Rat Tales issues.

Diamond/Previews doesn’t appear to have the handbook – I asked my shopkeep to order it when I first discovered it (last friday), he couldn’t find a listing.
Comment by Bruce — February 4, 2010 @ 1:06 am
Bruce: We spoke with Diamond and the Bone Handbook will be open for Previews Plus orders as of this coming Monday, 2/8. Retailers should use code: DEC098447 F BONE HANDBOOK SC
Diamond will have a substantial supply on hand so retailers can expect a fast turnaround with books shipping before the end of February. Also this book will be relisted for further orders in the April catalog.

hey Bones
i live in Nebraska and here thers not a lot of Bone out there where should i go if i want to get full volumes new books and hardcovers quik and easily?
Comment by kent — February 5, 2010 @ 5:23 pm
Kent – you can always order directly from Boneville! Click the “Shop” link at the top of the website.
You can also order from Amazon.com – free shipping over $39.00 I think!
If you do have any local bookstores or comic book shops, you should support them! If they don’t have the Bone books in stock, they should be able to order them for you.

Hi,
I’m a huge fan and I was just wondering what are the new Bone books? Why are they different? Are they additions to the story or something?
-Thanks

The handbook is awesome, guys! It’s really cool to see the Greed and Kite strips coloured!!

Would love to see a blog post featuring the Handbook! Who came up with the idea for it – you guys or Scholastic? I love that you used the cover of Bone #1 for the cover of the book – it’s very fitting. I want to make the Rat Creature, but at the same time, I don’t want to tear him out of my book!

Hi!
I have a question out of this theme.
I am Michael Bronec and I am translation Bone to Czech language (Czech Republic, in the middle of Europe). I have problems with meanings (second meanigs) of names – “Fone Bone”, Granma Ben”. Is there somewhere article about names in Bone Serie? Or a contact on Jeff Smith or some linguistic fan?
(Please, dont be scared of my English, I am good in reading and translating, but I am not using this language actively every day (or week)…
).
Comment by Michael Bronec — February 13, 2010 @ 5:54 pm
(My God, I want to write “translating”, not “translation”… )
Comment by Michael Bronec — February 13, 2010 @ 5:55 pm
Perhaps someone from Boneville has already contacted you. I think any translation of Bone would need to be done officially? I know Bone is available in many languages – perhaps Bone could be available in Czech in the future. Translating must be a tough job. I am very good at English but I don’t know any other languages! Anyway, good luck!
Comment by Brandon Klassen — February 15, 2010 @ 12:27 pm
No, no one yet. And yes – it is an official translation. (I was the first who buy it in our country and liked it.) But I am just a translator, not publisher, so: “Aw, you can make it, dont bother overworked creator.” (I hope I can make it, I even tranlasted Peter S. Beagle’s The Last Unicorn some years ago.) But I am lookign for some clues about “speaking” names. Are there such articles on “Boneville”? You can also answer some of my questions, maybe it will do too!
Comment by Michael Bronec — February 15, 2010 @ 5:34 pm
Michael, I’m surprised the publisher doesn’t have you working with someone from Boneville, after all, they’ve got a number of people at Cartoon Books besides just Jeff! But, I would be glad to help you. Feel free to contact me by email at klassen at hotmail dot com with your questions.

No hardcover for the Handbook? Shame but I’ve ordered it regardless!
Really looking forward to Tall Tales and the novels!
