Links Ahoy! May 2010
Here are a few BONE/RASL related links from around the web:
Julian, a student in Mrs. Doran’s class, wrote a book report on his teacher’s blog site. Dig the photo (above) that goes with it. - – I think that’s supposed to be me!
Julian’s blog can be read here! Keep reading, Julian!
Avish Parashar, a motivational speaker watched The Cartoonist documentary on his local PBS channel recently and was motivated. You can read Avish’s comments here!
RASL vols. 1 & 2 are reviewed by the Portland Mercury and you can read that here.
Also, letterer extraordinaire, and a cartoonist himself, Todd Klein gives RASL vol. 2 a review on his site.
This is awesome; especially if you’re from Columbus. Columbus through Buffalo eyes. A journalist from Buffalo, NY, that is! An out of stater falls for Columbus, loves the Cartoon Research Library and in the last paragraph, mentions Old Man’s Cave and Bone. This’ll make anyone want to visit Columbus!
Her article for the Buffalo News can be found here.
And last but not least, from Spain comes this awesome drawing from a reader I met at the Barcelona Festival.
He wrote about the signing on his blog. I love the drawing, Andre!

Thanks for the mention and link – this is a very cool site!

I just came across the site. I recently read the whole Bone series with my young daughter, and we loved it.
Is there a list of upcoming events that Jeff Smith will be taking part in? We are setting up our summer schedule and are trying to figure out what we will be doing in a couple of months. We would be happy to change the timing if it were possible to be in the same town where Mr Smith is at some public event.

Kel, Just look under “Jeff’s Studio” and we have an appearances page that will show you all of Jeff’s upcoming appearances. Next up is San Diego Comic Con.

I have written a review of RASL 1 to UniversoHQ, the largest comic website in Brazil. Too bad it is in portuguese =/

So you live in Columbus with your “wife and four kids”. Would that be Steve, Kathleen, Tom and Preston?

Hello Mr. Smith,
I’m an art teacher at the international school of Egypt, and I teach comic booking during after school activities.
We just started reading Bone and I think it would be great if we could set up a chat meeting where you could talk to the children and they would ask questions etc.
this would mean a lot to them.
thank you for your support,
sincerely
Farida
