Hi everybody, Tom here. It’s great being in charge of the fan letters! I run across some fun and interesting ones. Keep em coming! Above and below are pics of a lucky 17 year old named Will and his Bday cake! Awesome job and thanks for sharing. Too bad you can’t mail a cake!
Sean wrote a great letter and sent in some pics that his 7 year old niece has drawn after he introduced her to the BONE books.
For you crochet buffs out there, Here is a great site that you can get a pattern to make your own Fone Bone! Great job Amber!

thats so cool i have some drawing pictures i made when i was 4 years old do you want to see it jeff. And when are the new bone books coming out tall tales and quest for the spark please reply back on comments

Hey, that’s pretty cool. I love seeing the dedication some people put in their fan-works. Of course, I love anything art-related. I draw a lot myself and I daresay I drew a lot of fan art of Bone as well. Oh man, I draw soooo much… if you’d like I can link you to some of them.
I’m a bit insecure about it though… afraid I’d get laughed at and stuff.

I first discovered “Bone” when I happened to be looking on Amazon Video On Demand. I came across the video “The Cartoonist”, which was a most inspiring video!
That logo was awesome, the one where there’s Jeff Smith, sitting at the drawing table, drawing Fone Bone like he was coming off the page into the real world!
Where is that logo? I don’t see it anywhere on the site.

Those are great, but what I am really commenting on today is the loss of the great comic book writers Harvey Pekar at the age of 70. I know Jeff knew him and was a big fan, so my condolences to Harvey’s friends and loved ones. He will always live in with his brilliant dry wit and the wonderful comics that he left us all with.

Jen, We will be at booth 2109. I’ll be doing a blog in the next day or so with our complete schedule that will include Jeff’s signing times.
