My good friend Jennifer Oliver sent me a package of Clark bars this week. Jennifer is the person who turned me on to the conspiracy-drenched world of Nikola Tesla, and for that has the RASL trade collection dedicated to her. The other day, while I was inking issue #9 of RASL, I was chatting with Jen on the phone, and she asked me why the spooky little girl eats a Clark bar at the end of issue 8 (as opposed to a Snickers or another brand of candy bar). Truth is, I like Clark bars, and you can’t really find them around Columbus that much anymore.
Well, Jen found a place on the internet that ships them, and here they are! My teeth hurt just looking at them.
Is it just me, or do Rasl’s legs look a little short in the above drawing? I’ll have to fix that before the next collection.
Anyway, RASL #9 is in the can, and as of this writing will be on comic book store shelves Nov. 23.
We’ll put up some preview pages when the date gets a little closer.
