Happy New Year! Now get back to work!
But first, waste some time with these links!
Check out the Reading Pile with the fabulous Brigid Alverson
Check out this Flicker pic. I love it!
The Shazam/Captain Marvel Oral History continues over at Newsarama. I’ve been enjoying this a lot:
The Fawcett Years: 1940-1954, Part One
The Fawcett Years: 1940-1954, Part Two
The Fawcett Years: 1940-1954, Part Three
The Lost Years: 1954-1973, Part One
The Lost Years: 1954-1973, Part Two
The Lost Years: 1954-1973, Part Three
And now, moving into the modern era, The Shazam Years, Part one
All the articles have illustrations like these by Wheeler and Wilson. Wheeler is one of the funniest, best cartoonists around, and a pal. And look at that drawing by Wilson! Shazam! The whole project is fun and interesting all around!
Super Librarian gives a nice review of The Cartoonist: Jeff Smith, BONE, and The Changing Face of Comics.
And just in case you’re still not ready to start working, here are some RASL links:

Man! You’ve always been one of my favorite cartoonists, but when I saw that you made a Shazam! miniseries, I flipped out!!
I’ve been a huge Shazam! fan forever and to see one of my major inspirations make their own interpretation of the old comic is just amazing!!
I very much look forward to reading it! ^^
