CHARITY AUCTION includes BONE original Art

Hi everybody! Tom again.

Many people ask us if Jeff sells any of his original BONE art? After saying “NO” so many times, its nice to be able to say “YES”! We can’t reveal the art until May 5th, but you can see a teaser below.

Jeff, along with eleven other outstanding children’s illustrators, have created their artistic interpretation for Scholastic’s global literacy campaign — Read Every Day. Lead A Better Life.

An online auction of the original artwork opens May 5, 2011 at 6:00pm at scholastic.com/readeveryday.

The other artists participating in the auction are: Norman Bridwell, Bruce Degen, Edwin Fotheringham, Mary GrandPré, Barbara McClintock, Jon J Muth, Sean Qualls, Stephen Savage, David Shannon, Mark Teague and Raina Telgemeier.

After the auction closes June 5, 2011, poster-sized reproductions will be available for purchase. Proceeds from the auction and sales of posters and other items will benefit the nonprofits Reading Is Fundamental and Reach Out and Read.

RASL on Best of Sci Fi list

The SF Site, a science fiction and fantasy webpage has a list of the best reads of the year, and if we are reading this correctly, for the first time they are including graphic novels and RASL makes the cut along with Echo and X’ed.

For the complete list, check out Editor’s Choice – The Official SF Site Best SF and Fantasy Books.

Also, we see that CBR has a review of Modern Masters vol.25 up here.
