Comics Central in Columbus Alive!
Jackie Mantey, a reporter from Columbus Alive, came to the office last week to interview me about the Columbus comics scene. There have been some nice events lately, like CCAD’s MIX event that featured Chris Ware as the keynote speaker; the current comics show being put on by the Ohio Art League; as well as The Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum’s up coming move to grander quarters on campus. And apparently there’s an old fart self-publisher lurking about on the city’s south side.

Mr. Smith,
I really love the 2nd cover artwork for Bone: One Volume Edition. That image of Fone Bone sitting on the rocks really speaks to me. I’ve had a really hard time finding a high quality version of that image. I’d like to use it as a desktop background or Facebook cover photo.
I saw that you posted a beautiful, textless version of the image back in 2009 or something. It would be really cool if you could post a larger version of that artwork. Even with the text, I haven’t been able to find it in high quality.
I didn’t see any contact info. I apologize for posting this here.
Thank you very much for your time.
