Boneville 2.0 Let's try this again!

Blog entry by Jacob Robinson

NEW BONE website

If this is your first visit, welcome to Boneville; if you are a long time friend, welcome back!  Last year before the holidays, we launched my new web comic (the National Cartoonist Society Award nominated) TUKI Save the Humans (or TUKI for short), and we tried to redesign the site for the occasion.  Unfortunately, our roll out made Healthcare.gov look good. Still, like Rasl, our motto is: It’s never too late to fix it!

Everyone here at Cartoon Books wants to thank our readers for not only alerting us to the problems, but offering very good advice, and helping to point us in the right direction. Hope you enjoy the results.

Here’s an interview Jeff did at SPX in Bethesda

Ooops! Did anyone else catch it? The visual they used for the cover is wrong, that is the cover for the hardcover version of the black and white Volume One: The Drift.

Bleeding Cool Spotlights Jeff's Appearance at C.A.B

Jeff was invited as a Special Guest of the Comic Arts Brooklyn show, which was held earlier this month in Brooklyn, New York. Jeff participated in a spotlight panel – Jeff Smith: Pulled Apart -  in which he not only discussed his lifelong love of comics, but also his process and experience in getting to where he is today. BONE and RASL were obvious topics of discussion, but one of the main highlights for fans was hearing and seeing a bit more about Jeff’s newest project: TUKI Save the Humans, which will be Jeff’s first web-comic, set to debut this month.

The panel concluded with an exciting, live-inking illustration of BONE! The piece was auctioned off on behalf of the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund, of which Jeff is now a board member. To read the article in full, go here.

Here is the piece from the live-inking demonstration:
