Whoopsie! Getting caught reading BONE in Mr. Borkow’s science class. I’d say it was worth the risk!
@oilcandrive has a point! “Stranger Things” actor Charlie
Heaton (who plays Jonathan Byers) would definitely make a perfect RASL!
#FanArtFriday from our pal Tyler in Rock Hill, SC. His teacher, Ms. Holiday created these clever ‘A Letter to My Favorite Author’ sheets to engage students in exploring what they really enjoy about the book they’re reading. Bravo, Tyler and Ms. Holiday!

Happy Thanksgiving, friends!
SO much work to do before Thanksgiving tomorrow: set the
table with the good china, buy the turkey, cook the turkey, clean the Tavern,
repair the roof….
MMMMM. Pie.
The Term ‘Graphic Novel’ Has Had A Good Run. We Don’t Need It Anymore
Congratulations Rep John Lewis, Nate Powell, Andrew Aydin, Chris Staros,
publishers IDW and Top Shelf on their well-deserved win, as the first
Graphic Novel to win a National Book Award!
Welp–the cats outta the bag! One of the nicest guys in animation set to work with one of the nicest guys in comics!
We received this letter
from our fan Larry in Portland regarding a book ban on BONE. Can anyone confirm
this is happening? It’s an odd stance and we’d love to know what you know.
I am currently watching a segment on C-Span2 BookTV
that is discussing banned books. According to a librarian in Portland,
there is an effort to have “Bone” banned from libraries in Portland because the
main character is white and that it represents colonialism since all the other
characters are characters of color…..What? Do these people even read the
books? Just wanted to know if you guys had any feedback like this group
in Oregon. Maybe they shouldn’t have legalized pot there, it’s making
them hallucinate!
Take a break from social media and post election coverage with some feel-good comics! Thanks for the love, Entertainment Weekly!
