THORN Wins Best Archival Collection/Project – Strips!

THORN: The Complete Proto-BONE College Strips 1982-1986, and Other Early Drawings won the Eisner for – Best Archival Collection/Project – Strips!

From Jeff: “First and foremost. Thanks to my spouse and partner, Vijaya Iyer, who was with me from the beginning of this journey from THORN to BONE, the two of us were just kids trying to navigate the world of Comics. I’d also like to  thank the world of Comics for this award for a book our Cartoon Books staff not only insisted on producing, but worked very hard on. They saw the value in these old strips that I had, for some reason, been very embarrassed about. Thanks again to our hardworking coworkers Kathleen Glosan and Tom Gaadt, and to everyone here in this room.”

It was a lot of fun seeing everyone’s BONE, but I’ll bet there’s more. Lovingly worn. Pillows. Balancing a table. Still shrink-wrapped. Let’s see ’em!

Starting Them Young!

Perhaps one of our youngest fans, Konstantina is really tearing through that BONE book, and looking utterly adorable while doing so!

Just Stopping Thru…

Bernie knows how to dress for the snowy winters – Fone Bone not so much.
