Due to Covid there are labor shortages there that are effecting our ability to fulfill these orders. Some shipments have already been returned to us, with more likely on the way. The Wexner In Conversation with Jeff Smith held Friday evening was a lively and engaging discussion! While most of the events for CXC were virtual, this gathering was held at the Wexner Center on Ohio States Campus, where Jeff talked about everything from his comics research, inspiration, his current series TUKI and so much more! As part of this year’s Cartoon Crossroads Columbus (CXC), Jeff Smith joins Wex Director of Film/Video David Filipi for a wide-ranging conversation about Bone, his most famous creation; TUKI, his most recent release; and thirty years of Cartoon Books, his independent comic book company.
Columbus-based cartoonist Smith is no stranger to the Wex—he was the subject of a 2008 exhibition cocurated by Filipi—and this conversation promises to be a memorable one about his extensive career.
TUKI: Fight for Fire and TUKI: Fight for Family!, his latest releases, are set two million years ago, when many different types of humans roamed upright on two legs across east Africa. The story introduces the reader to a number of these groups: Australopithecus (the branch that included the famous Lucy); the Habiline people, whose bigger brains led to stone tool creation; and new humans who entered with an amazing new power, the ability to create and control fire!

Hello!
At this point everyone should have their digital copies of TUKI: Fight for Fire, and many of you already have soft covers of the regular edition.
Well, now we have a couple of updates!
UPDATE 1: After many production delays, all versions of book one, TUKI: Fight for Fire, soft & hard covers of both the regular and special edition covers are in our warehouse! We are packing those up for shipping!
UPDATE 2: Jeff says book 2 will be ready to ship in February 2022*. This is a few months later than we thought, so we are going to switch things up.
We are going to ship all Kickstarter orders for book one in October. All backers will receive their TUKI book one graphic novels before they ship to the mass market in early December.
All add-ons and stretch goals will still ship with book 2.
Please make any necessary address changes to the backerkit survey asap. Thank you!

September 11, 2001, Jeff and Vijaya had just arrived in Norway for a comics festival in Bergen. Illustrating the experience of what it was like to be far from home that day, these original art pieces were donated to the “9-11: Emergency Relief” graphic novel which was a fundraiser for the American Red Cross.
