Gene Luen Yang is one of the most talented and successful cartoonists. His graphic novels AMERICAN BORN CHINESE and BOXERS & SAINTS were both National Book Award finalists. AMERICAN BORN CHINESE went on to win the Printz Award and an Eisner Award, while BOXERS & SAINTS the L.A. Times Book Prize. In 2016 Yang was named Ambassador for Young People’s Literature by the Library of Congress. That same year he was awarded the MacArthur genius grant. Join CXC’s Jeff Smith for a lively and hilarious chat with comics superstars Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner on October 3rd.
